ECE student-athletes play it forward!!

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, seven ECE student-athletes from 14 Hurricanes, 15 Typhoon, 15 Storm and 16 Cyclones, and five adult chaperones participated in the very first ECE’s group volunteer event: Happy Helpers!!

ECE’s Happy Helpers prepared 400+ sandwiches along with other 20+ volunteers in Halethorpe, MD. In less than 30 minutes, all sandwiches were ready to be distributed!!

Loaded with holiday wishes, ECE Happy Distributors then drove to Harundale Presbyterian Church and gave out non-perishable food, snacks and sandwiches to the homeless.

ECE Play It Forward – Happy Sandwiches Makers and Distributors

Join East Coast Elite Volleyball Club to warm up the Volley-season and the homeless by being Happy Helpers!! 
  • Volunteer Event: Happy Sandwiches Makers and Distributors
  • Date: Saturday, December 7th 2019
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 pm: Making sandwiches 
  • 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm: Distribute sandwiches 

ECE players and families are welcome to help by preparing 380 sandwiches to be distributed to the homeless in the Glen Burnie area. Student Service hours will be provided upon completion of the services.

Sandwiches will be prepared at an indoor facility between 11:30 am and 12:45 pm on Saturday, December 7th. Adult chaperones are also needed to supervise and drive players to distribute sandwiches to the homeless between 12:45 pm and 1:30 pm.
