ECE Coach – Megan Ray
Coach Megan is excited to return to her high school club volleyball program as a coach for the 16 Cyclones Elite Team! Coach Megan coached ECE’s 15 Storm Elite Team in the past season.
Coach Megan played with ECE for three seasons in 2016, 2017 and 2018 under Coach Janice and Coach Joy. She played as an outside hitter in 6 rotations while on both the 17 Tsunami (2016-2017) and 18 Typhoon (2017-2018) teams. She was also team captain for two seasons. Coach Megan was the captain, 6 rotation starter, Most Valuable Player (MVP) on the 2017 2A State Championship Volleyball team at Oakdale High
School and Player of the Year for Frederick County in 2018. Coach Megan played in college for Muhlenberg College (2018, 2019, 2021) as both an outside and opposite hitter and was captain in her senior year. Coach Megan also led the team in kills her senior year with 172.
After she graduated from college in May of 2022 with a B.A. in Studio Art and Art History, she was the assistant coach for the Varsity volleyball team at Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland. She currently works with the coaching team in PFP located in Frederick, Maryland. Coach Megan is excited to share her knowledge and passion for the sport with the ECE athletes.
