2021-2022 Volleyball Pre-Club Training II @ Silver Spring

Clinic Dates:
10/12, 10/14, 10/19, 10/21, 10/26, 10/28
11/2, 11/4, 11/9, 11/11
Session A – 13 & under => 5-7 pm
Session B – 14 & above => 7-9 pm
Pay Cash/Check only: $300 per player per session, due on the 1st day at clinic
Walk-ins: $40 per player per day (cash/check only)
- Session A – 13 and under: This session is geared towards the player with some but limited volleyball experience. Instruction provided will cover passing, setting, and hitting along with offensive and defensive strategies. Players will experience “game like” situations during drills and scrimmages. This program is a great lead in for players who are interested in playing club volleyball.
- Session B – 14 & above: This session is designed for middle school and high school players who wish to improve and excel in their leagues, clubs, and school levels. This session is ideal for the experienced volleyball player (starting JV/Varsity/Multiple years of club experience) striving to be their best.
- All players are responsible for bringing their own kneepads and bottled water to the camp every day.
- Registration: Online Registration only
- Payment: Pay Cash/Check at the Clinic Site on the 1st day (Registration is NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE PAYMENT OF CLINIC FEES IS MADE IN FULL)
- Required Medical History Form: Must bring the completed 2021 ECE VBC release and waiver of liability medical history form to the Director on the 1st day of Clinic

About Coach Logan

Coach Logan was born in Inner Mongolia, China. She spent three seasons with Bao Tou High School in Inner Mongolia, was named the best player on the team in 2006 and 2007, helped the team winning the Junior Student Championship of China in 2006 and third place at the National High School Student Championship of China (NHSSCC) in 2007.When she played three seasons at Murray State University Volleyball team, she had average of 2.60 kills per set during the 2010 season, was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Second Team in 2008 as well as the All-Newcomer Team in 2008, had 799 kills, 262 digs and 117 blocks in 85 matches. In 2012, she played as the Outside Hitter at Canisius College while pursuing her master degree in Sports Administration. She was the head coach at Baotou Medical College in 2015-2017 and helped the team winning the Chinese College Volleyball Tournament (Northern District) in 2016, finished as the champions in the Chinese National College Volleyball in 2017. Coach Logan currently is a liaison for student-athlete development, academics, sports medicine, housing, & admissions at Georgetown University
About Coach Joy

Coach Joy has a long and prestigious history in women’s volleyball. Nicknamed “The Tienanmen Wall” after the stone gate that separates the Imperial City from the Forbidden City in Peking, Joy established herself as an intimidating blocker when the Chinese emerged as the world’s preeminent women’s volleyball team in the 1980s. During that time, Joy served as a starting middle on the Chinese teams that won the World Cup Tournament in 1981 and the World Championship in 1982.Her career on the Chinese women’s national team culminated in a gold medal victory at the 1984 Olympic games. After retiring from professional volleyball, Joy went on to serve as the Volleyball Program Director in China. Since relocating to the United States in 1994, Joy has coached various levels of volleyball players, including NCAA Division I teams and elite juniors programs in DC and Maryland. Joy’s philosophy of coaching centers on teamwork, advanced skills training, and providing a challenging training environment.
